Trading trips across bases, United pilots
Short answer
Yes, after 1300 base time the day before the earlier trip reports, in the same seat and equipment, if you're qualified. One such trade per bid period.
What the contract says
“Pilots in the same Status and Equipment (e.g., 787 FO) in different Bases may trade Trip-for-Trip under the following conditions”
“An individual Pilot may only complete one (1) such trade per Bid Period.”
Can I pick up another base’s trip without trading?
Yes. Trips become eligible for out-of-base lineholder pickup at 1300 the day before they report. § 20-P-2 If no open trip in that base is legal for you, you may pick up a trip another pilot there has advertised for drop. § 20-P-1-h
Are FRMS trips included?
Not when the FRMS conditions don’t allow the trip to be picked up by an out-of-base pilot. § 20-P-1-i-(3)
