Dropping a trip the day before, United pilots
Short answer
Not through automated trading after 1100, which is pickup only for trips reporting today or tomorrow. Scheduler-assisted trading can, with company agreement.
What the contract says
“Starting at 1100, a Pilot may not, via automated trip-trading, cause a Trip that reports on the current or subsequent day to become unassigned. Automated instantaneous trip-trading is for pick-up only.”
When does instantaneous trading open?
Trips that report the next day become available for instantaneous trading from 1000 to 1044, then again from 1100. § 20-P-3-e
Can I get a premium trip through scheduler-assisted trading right away?
Not before one run of automated instantaneous trading has happened for that trip, including lineholder premium pay trips. § 20-P-3-e
