Short answer

4.25 hours per vacation day, starting with the 2024–2025 vacation year. In 2023–2024 it was 3.75 hours.

What the contract says

“Starting in the 2024-2025 vacation year, each vacation day shall have a pay value of four and one-quarter (4.25) hours.”

How do I turn that into pay?

Each vacation day has a pay value of 4.25 hours. § 11-C-1 Hourly rates by seat, fleet and year are on the United pilot pay scale.

Does it matter when I use vacation to drop a trip?

Yes. For a vacation trip drop, a lineholder uses as many vacation days as it takes to cover the trip’s pay value in hours, not one day per trip day. § 11-G-3-a
